We had winter temperature inversions a number of times in 2002. The air above the snow gets warmer than the snow for a while. Fog rises off the snow. Then the temperature drops and the fog freezes on to the trees. It creates an absolute breath-taking landscape, that only lasts until the sun comes out.

This was one of our neighbour's fields behind our house that the dogs and I used to walk in during the winter, when the fields are not in crops.

Diatan and Ki have now passed on. I hope they are happily chasing one another playfully in the dog afterlife. Jette lives with Lynne (we are seperated now). Kori and I are still together. He is asleep under the desk in the office at the moment.
